Available Franchise Territories
We’re opening protected territories in twelve states where gate repair demand is consistent and the technician pool is thin. A protected territory means exactly what it sounds like: when you claim one, it’s yours. No other Vance operator gets dispatched into your zip codes, and no corporate lead in your area goes anywhere except your phone. The first-mover advantage is real here. In a market with aging gate automation and no single dominant service brand, the operator who shows up first with written pricing and a documentation habit becomes the default call for the next decade. That’s how you build a book of business that doesn’t depend on paid ads.
Open Markets
These states currently have open territory. We’re listing them plainly because that’s how we do everything. Pick the one you know, or the one you want to build in.
- Texas – Long driveways, large lots, and a gate on what feels like every third property in the northern suburbs. High concentration of estate-style gates that need real automation work.
- Florida – Salt air chews through gate hardware faster than almost anything. Hinges, boards, and opener limits fail on a schedule here, which means repeat service work and a built-in maintenance base.
- California – The state that made automatic driveway gates standard in the hills and canyons. Dense, wealthy, and full of gates that haven’t been serviced in years because nobody wants to touch the older motors.
- Georgia – Atlanta’s northern arc from Buckhead through Alpharetta and the lake communities. Wrought iron everywhere, much of it twenty years old and needing welding and opener replacement.
- North Carolina – Charlotte and the Research Triangle both have gate density and a shortage of technicians who actually understand swing-arm geometry and limit switches.
- Arizona – Dust in the tracks, heat on the boards, and gates that get used more than the front door. Monsoon season alone creates a service surge most operators can’t keep up with.
- Tennessee – Nashville’s growth put gates on properties that never had them, and the surrounding counties are filling in fast. The older Franklin and Brentwood estates need constant attention.
- Ohio – Freeze-thaw cycles shift gate posts and loosen everything. The winter service calls are predictable and the summer replacement cycle is steady.
- Pennsylvania – The Main Line and the ring around Pittsburgh both have gate stock from the 1990s and early 2000s. Those motors are at end of life, and the properties can’t go without a working gate.
- Colorado – Snow load, ice, and altitude all work against gate automation. Operators who understand winter maintenance hold their customers for years.
- Washington – Rain and moisture intrusion are the killers here. Control boards corrode, sensors fail, and homeowners need someone who can diagnose rather than just swap parts.
- Virginia – Northern Virginia’s density and the horse-country estates further out both run gates. The market is fragmented, which is exactly what you want when you’re claiming a protected territory.
How Territories Work

A territory is a defined geography with clear boundaries. We draw the lines before you sign, and we both agree on exactly which zips, towns, or counties are yours. After that, the rule is simple: leads generated in your territory go to you. Marketing spend in your region supports your business, not someone else’s. Another Vance operator cannot quote or work a job inside your lines without your sign-off, and the brand does not sell overlapping territories. Exclusivity is the whole structure. If you build the reputation, you keep the customers. When demand inside a territory grows past what one operator can reasonably service, we’ll talk to you before any split happens. Nobody carves up your area without you at the table. To reserve a territory, you go through a short qualification process: we verify you can run the work to The Haven Standard, we confirm the territory is still open, and then we put it under agreement. Once it’s yours, it stays yours as long as you operate to the standard. No mystery. No auction. No pressure to take a market you don’t want.
