Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Vance Gate Repair team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Gate Repair Work
Every job at Vance Gate Repair is priced one way: a free written estimate, specific to your gate and your situation, before anyone picks up a tool. No hourly rate that climbs while we work. No subscription to join, no plan to sign up for, nothing to remember to cancel. You see the full number in writing, you decide whether to proceed, and if you say yes, that number is what you pay.
That is Haven Standard Clause 1 – “Have it in writing” – and it applies to every job we take, from a single hinge replacement to a full operator installation. The estimate is how we stay honest with you, and it is how you stay in control of what gets spent on your property.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free. A uniformed, background-checked technician – whose name and photo you receive before they arrive – comes out, inspects the gate, identifies what is actually wrong, and hands you a written price for the specific work needed. The visit typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. At the end of it, you hold a written quote and you are free to say no, sleep on it, or get a second opinion. No pressure, no fee for the time, no obligation. If you do decide to move forward, that written price is the price.
Before
AfterWhen People Usually Call Us
A few patterns show up every year in this trade, and they are worth knowing so you are not caught off guard.
Power outages knock operators offline more often than most homeowners expect. After a storm, the gate controller loses its settings, or a surge takes out the control board entirely. The gate may sit open or sit closed depending on how the system failed-safe was configured, and neither is a comfortable situation overnight.
Heat and freeze cycles are the other consistent driver. A steel gate that binds slightly in January will bind worse by February. Hinges that needed grease last fall are often the ones that stop mid-travel in the first cold week of the year. The same logic applies in summer: expansion in the frame and track will surface a limit-switch setting that was marginally off and make it worse.
Community and HOA gates tend to see the most calls in the weeks before a busy season – before summer entertaining, before the holidays – when traffic through them doubles and a gate that was limping along stops limping and just stops. Those are the calls that come in on a Friday afternoon.
Any of those situations is a fine reason to call. We are not here to manufacture urgency. If the gate is working, enjoy it. When it is not, we will tell you exactly what we found and what it costs to fix it.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way

A few things apply to every job, offer or no offer.
The written price comes first. Before any work starts, you have the number in writing. That is Haven Standard Clause 1, and it is not optional on any job we run.
The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every completed repair. If the work is not right within a full year of the job date, we come back and make it right – no argument, no additional charge, no fine print to navigate.
Every visit leaves a documented photo record. What we found, what we adjusted, what we installed. You get a copy; we keep one on file. Adrian Vance built this habit on commercial access-control sites starting in 2014 because it means the next technician is never guessing, and you are never paying twice to rediscover the same problem.
We service nine major automation brands – LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule – so we work on whatever is already on your property rather than steering you toward a replacement you may not need.
And a live person answers when you call, at any hour. No voicemail, no callback queue.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, the written estimate is completely free. A technician comes out, inspects your gate, and hands you a written price for the specific work needed – no charge for the visit and no obligation to book. If you want a second look at a quote you already have from another company, that review is also free: bring the paperwork and we will go through it with you.
Do you offer financing or a monthly plan?
No, and that is a deliberate choice. Every job is priced off a free written estimate for that specific job, and that is the only pricing mechanism we use. No hourly rates, no subscriptions, no payment plans, nothing to sign up for. We have found that a flat written price per job is cleaner and more honest than any alternative.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per service visit. If you have a question about which applies to your situation, the best thing to do is call before we come out – the person who answers will sort it out in about two minutes, and you will not be surprised when the technician arrives.
Does the price change once you are here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If the technician opens something up and finds a second problem that was not visible during the estimate, work stops. We give you a separate written price for the additional item before touching it. You can approve it, decline it, or schedule it for another visit. Nothing gets added to your bill without your written agreement first.
